Cape Town – The Proteas have won the toss and have decided to bat first against Australia in the opening ODI at Boland Park in Paarl on Saturday.
Proteas skipper Quinton de Kock chose to bat first on a hot and smoky Boland Park.
Opener batsman Janneman Malan and middle-order batsman Kyle Verreynne will make their ODI debut for the Proteas.
Meanwhile, the Proteas received bad news prior to the start of first ODI after fast bowler Kagiso Rabada was ruled out of the remainder the series and South Africa’s upcoming tour to India next month.
