John Antwi, Emmanuel Keyekeh deserved a place in Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad – Agyemang Badu

Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has disclosed that he was expecting more local players to be given a chance in Otto Addo’s squad for the upcoming games in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, Dreams FC striker John Antwi and Samartex FC midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh have both played well in the Ghana Premier League and should have been included in the Black Stars squad.

“Dreams FC have one striker called Antwi, he has a lot of experience playing in Africa; he’s played in Egypt, and the way he carried Dreams FC on his back and the goals he’s scored in the league and the experience he has, I believe he was a good candidate for the striking position in the team With Inaki missing through injury.

“Samartex’s Keyekeh has been very good this season so I was expecting these two players in the squad especially John Anwti should have been given the needed attention looking at how good he’s been this season,” Emmanuel Agyemang Badu said in an interview with Onua TV.

The Black Stars have opened camp in Ghana to prepare for the next two matches in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana takes on Mali on June 6 in Bamako and will host Central African Republic on June 10.
