Midfielder Baba Yahaya reveals why Asante Kotoko missed out on winning 2023/24 league title

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Baba Yahaya has opened up on why the club failed to win the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title.

The talented attacking midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors last summer before the start of the football season.

He went on to play a key role for Asante Kotoko and helped the side to finish 6th on the Ghana Premier League standings.

Speaking to the media team of the club, Baba Yahaya said the club could not win the Premier League title because new signings relaxed after joining the club.

“We failed to win the league because most of us relaxed after arriving at Kotoko,” Baba Yahaya said.

In his debut Ghana Premier League season, Baba Yahaya played in 25 games in the Ghana Premier League.

He scored two goals and provided five assists as well.

He is now looking forward to his second season with the Porcupine Warriors.
