2025 AFCON: Black Stars to kick off qualifying journey against Angola at home

Ghana will open its 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Angola at home before making a trip to Niger for the second Group F match scheduled for September 2-10, 2024.

CAF recently unveiled the qualifiers’ fixtures, spanning from September through November this year, to accommodate the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers slated for 2025.

In October, Ghana will engage in a double header against Sudan, hosting the 1970 African champions in Kumasi before traveling for the return leg in the week of October 7-15, 2024.

November will mark the final stretch for the Black Stars, traveling to Luanda to face Angola before concluding their qualifying campaign against Niger at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Matchday 1 &2: September 2-10, 2024

Matchday 3 & 4: October 7-15, 2024

Matchday 5 &6: November 11-19, 2024

The top two teams from Group F will secure spots in the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco next year. Otto Addo’s squad aims to reclaim their former glory in African football, having previously clinched the title in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982.
