We have the responsibility to pave the way for upcoming players – Mohammed Kudus

Ghana star, Mohammed Kudus has indicated that it is important for top players including himself to pave the way for upcoming players.

The talented forward has grown in the last few years, becoming one of the most impressive footballers in the world.

Since debuting for the Black Stars, Mohammed Kudus has established himself as the poster boy in the national team.

Over the weekend, the former Ajax superstar was named Footballer of the Year at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Mohammed Kudus said current stars in the Black Stars have the opportunity because other players paved the way.

He said current stars must also pave the way for the upcoming players.

“Everything they have done in the past has paved the way for us, the young ones. Our responsibility is also to pave the way for the upcoming youngsters and pass the torch backwards,” Mohammed Kudus said.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus is gearing up for his second season with West Ham in England.

He will be working under new manager Julian Loptegui.
