Substitute Kamaldeen Sulemana shines in Southampton’s stalemate against Tottenham Hotspurs

Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana put up an impressive performance to help Southampton secure a point against Tottenham Hotspurs at home.

The Black Stars winger made a substitute appearance in his outfit 3-3 draw against Tottenham at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

The game was a tough one, with the Saints seeking to bounce back to winning ways whiles Tottenham hoped to maintain winning run.

Tottenham took the lead through Pedro Porro few minutes to the end of the first half of the game.

But the home team responded immediately after the break and grabbed the equalizer through Che Adams.

Harry Kane restored his outfits lead to make it 2-1 after connecting from Dejan Kulusevski assist in the 65th minute mark.

Southampton pushed for the equaliser and got it minutes after Sulemana was introduced. The enterprising winger was introduced in the 70th minute and helped his side to secure a point on home turf.

Theo Walcott and James Ward-Prowse scored as the game ended 3-3 on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Stars winger impact was felt on the team, with five ground duels, ten accurate passes, two chances created, four successful dribbles and 21 touches.

Sulemana was rated 7.1 by football performance app, Fotmob, depicting the 21-year-old’s swashbuckling performance in the encounter.

He is expected to join the Black Stars team ahead of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola next week.
