Hearts of Oak coach, Martin Koopman says he needs his players to put up a fighting spirit to be able to win more points.
The Dutch trainer made these assertions following the Phobians 3-1 win over Medeama SC in the matchday eight games at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Two goals from Hamzah Issah and an own goal gave the Rainbow Club its biggest win of the 2023-2024 season and an end to a run of three straight draws.
While praising the quality of his side, Koopman pointed out that he needed his young team to show more fight in games to make them an elite side.
“All my players can play football now what I need is fighting spirit in the game. If you have the fighting spirit with this team, you can get a lot of points so hopefully we can continue to do this.”
Hearts of Oak have moved to the 13th on the league log with 9 points and will be hosted by Karela United in the matchday nine games at the Aliu Mahama Stadium this weekend.
